post exam

it has been almost a week since my unofficial graduation but i feel nothing. resisted the flu bug during the last few days of exams but it finally conquered me so yeah i'm sick now (what's new). currently unable to speak aloud and that's probably why i hate to talk - people can't hear me. anyways, i hope this exam will be a good ending to my 15 years of education. i definitely hope so.

this space shall just remain as it is. seems like my post exams activities are not exciting at all. suits now!

the clan restaurant

yb's birthday was just shortly after mine, so every year during our birthday period it's for us to splurge on gifts and good food. when it comes to food, we are always competing on whose birthday meal is better hahaha, but for the fun of course. this year i brought him to the clan restaurant, which is somewhat similar to dozo. both are similar in terms of the 6 course dinner and some of the dishes, but it is still a refreshing experience. they have very good and attentive service! in my opinion it is a hidden gem because it's not that popular (yet). food spammage coming up!

my personal favourite are the desserts!! best chocolate lava cake in my opinion, and the panna cotta was really yummy! my pork belly and crepe mushroom soup was quite good as well. yb loves the oysters in 3 ways, deep fried foie gras, and his 48 degrees poached salmon. the poached salmon was heavenly to him. by the way it was a pleasant surprise when i received a text from the restaurant when i got home. i can get a discount of 15% if i visit the clan again! probably not now, but in the near future maybe :)

it's my birthday!

Aloha~ Almost a month since I wrote something here but i don't remember it being that long. Anyways, just celebrated my birthday on monday with yb and i thought i should blog about it to give him some credit :) He did lots of research on the dinner place and I really love it! Nice ambience, reasonably-priced french food, superb service, and the best company. What more can i ask for? :)

the cake was complimentary from the restaurant! initially we wanted to put the candle on the ice cream because we were too full for cakes, but they said they couldn't do it lol. so they served me the cake after we spaced out for almost a minute looking at the ice cream. anyway i love the cake! it's cheesecake with all my favourite berries on the side. he's the one who was too full for cakes, not me. i love cakes.

oh there was a pleasant surprise from the restaurant too!!! they took a photo of us using their camera too, then both of us were like "wah like that sure post on fb one lor". minutes later they passed me this envelope, saying it's from them. we thought it was vouchers inside and wanted to use it to pay for the meal HAHAHA CHEAPSKATE. guess what is it? they printed a hard copy of our photo!! i was really surprised :)

okay guessed i just typed too much haha. just sharing my joy. wanted to post out instagram photo but i can't seem to do it :x anyway you can see it from the side. first blue box from the boy :)

i knew you were trouble

okay this sucks. apparently i have neglected this space for quite awhile without me knowing why. neither free nor busy but i'm trying to occupy myself with random stuffs. it has been awhile since i had yummy food :( this phase will be over. honestly speaking, i have no idea what i should blog about. okay wait i just found some pics hahahaha.

yb brought me to kombi rocks! one of the accomplishments that he is very proud of because he found the cafe before i did.

the horfun and fish maw soup was actually very yummy! and the huge root beer float with ice cream which i cannot stop drinking. i love everything with ice cream. WAFFLES WITH ICE CREAM *slurps*

visited yb at nook last week and had RAINBOW PANCAKES! *pukes rainbow*

i know i cannot finish it but it's rainbow pancakes...how to not order? (i finished 4 by the way) there are other stuffs i wanna try as well, will visit him again.

2013

Happy 2013 people! As per past few years i thought i should just write down my new year resolutions and revisit some of the meaningful things i experienced this year.

Well...i guess the most interesting thing was me turning 21? and my many other friends who turned 21 too. my photoshoot with yb and dinner at Dozo was AMAZING, hats off to yb who found the place even before i did my research. not forgetting my actual birthday with my 3 groups of friends who have been with me in schools, and big hug to all of you guys who actually chipped in and bought a sony nex c3 for me!!! yb's idea as well. am i lucky...or lucky? to have a bunch awesome friends and a loving bf. Thankful indeed.

Next up will be yb's birthday! We had a really yummy jap buffet hotel dinner and i surprised him at singapore flyer! But I didn't do a good job :( Should have prepared and planned things earlier. Was sooooo busy during the period because it was during my prelims. I BELIEVE I CAN DO BETTER IN 2013. He did so much for my birthday i couldn't help but to feel apologetic :( i love you!!!!

The next meaningful thing will be our one year anniversary  oh fuck why is everything about him?!?! hahahaha. I really have friends! skipping all my friend's 21st birthdays because it will certainly be overwhelming. anyways, for our one year annivesary we went to USS! so excited to be there, we really had lots of fun!!! roller coasters, food, photos, shows, everything single thing just fascinates me. well i guess it's because we don't feel like we are in sg once we stepped into USS. love it.

i like to move it move it. we like to MOVE IT!

So during the holidays, I decided to take up a f&b job because I have never did it before, and since it will sort of be like my "last holidays". So i sent emails here and there, and i landed in Carpenter and Cook. The place looked amazing when i first stepped in, and i knew it will be popular in no time. I was right! Proud to be the pioneer staff (that's what we call ourselves hahahaha) and made a bunch of really nice friends. Gained lots of experience really. From serving to talking and coffee making!!! Barista yo hahaha, no i'm just a beginner. Latte art still at level 1. Not forgetting that I met quite a number of famous people! From bloggers to celebrities ^^ EVERYBODY, GO VISIT! the pastries are yummy, trust me! *winks*

xmas 2012 bbq party

Chiangmai trip 2012 with my family. Honestly speaking, I wasn't that interested in the place. turns out that it wasn't that bad after all despite visiting many different temples and going to the same night bazaar almost every night. It's a very peaceful place. More like a cultural educational trip I guess. I've learnt to appreciate the small little things in life. 

Came back from chiangmai and met my friends for parties! 

1. had our xmas cookout once again, that explains my oily hair and face and saints shirt.

our spread! aglio olio, roasted chicken, jap salad, salted egg yolk prawns, taiwan beer.

2. xmas potluck at kq's house, hy is back from shanghai! so happy to see all of them!

cabonara, sausages, meatballs, bacon toast cup, caesar salad, potato salad, roasted chicken and chicken wings. not forgetting our chocolate fondue!

3. xh's birthday at C&C, short meetup amongst our busy schedules. we aim to be a stronger clique in 2013 lol.

That's it for 2012! Always busy at the end of the year because of parties, and i'm thankful that over the years my friends and i still stay tight. 

What have i learn this year? I've learned to be more appreciative and thankful. I want to thank yb for this. For telling me that I'm a lucky girl, a lucky daughter.

 

My new year resolutions? I will aim to be nicer to everybody! Be more patient and accepting. Go for more food hunting. Maybe I should exercise more too. Last but not least, STUDY MY ASS OFF. Graduating in may :'(

back from chiangmai and went out both days right after i landed. i must say....i'm old. who says sleep is for the weak. kudos to myself for uploading all the photos onto fb for yesterday's party and today's date, so i'm left with the chiangmai photos only! what a huge chunk i guess i will just leave it till tomorrow.

P.S Cafe

A date that was forgotten by both of us until i went to dig my fb photos hahaha. Currently looking at these photos and thinking of captions like "Sunday brunch with love" "I will never get sick of brunch" "I can have brunch everyday" "Truffle fries is my life" LOL.
